Brent Archives is here to help you find out more about the history of the local area. If you are interested in finding out about our collections you search the collection using the search bar above.

Our Archives Search Room is open four days a week and researchers can access material free of charge.

Our opening times are:

  • Tuesday: 9am-5pm
  • Wednesday: 9am-5pm
  • Thursday: 1pm-8pm
  • Saturday: 9am-5pm

On these days you are welcome to drop in and use the materials available in the search room including local pamphlet boxes, local history books, directories and electoral registers.

Researchers can access collection material that is held in store by requesting it at least 24 house in advance. Only material that has been requested in advance will be available.

The Heritage Team at Brent Museum and Archives are happy to assist researchers with enquires. We offer a research service, for which there is a fee. Please see our list of charges for more information.

The Heritage team produce a number of free temporary exhibitions every year at The Library at Willesden Green. These exhibitions often feature newly acquired objects, objects which have been in storage for decades and loaned objects from other museums.
